Tips for Interview
  • Agree to attend the interview ONLY If you are interested. A candidate who doesn’t turn up for interview after agreeing to do so (unless there is a very serious matter which prevents him but that would be an exception) is considered unprofessional and it can be assumed that the candidate is not clear about priorities or commitments given.
  • Please check the date/time/address/contact number/contact person for interview at least 1 day before the interview. Seek guidance on reaching the venue in case you are not clear about the address. If you are getting late in reaching, please inform concerned person at the venue.
  • Always be at the venue at least 15 minutes before the interview. It gives you time to get adjusted to the environment.
  • Be polite to every one at the venue.
  • During the interview please do not call any one of interviewers by first name (even if they have introduced themselves with their first name). This is especially true for junior positions where you should show respect for the interviewer.
  • While answering questions, stick to the questions asked. Also please keep your cell phone on “silent" mode.
  • If you are not aware of certain points, its OK to say that you are not aware of it rather than bluffing and making a bad impression.
  • Do not make negative comments about your previous/current employer.
  • Be clear on why you want to change the job.
  • Do not “drop names”/claim to know higher-ups in the same/different organisation. It doesn’t add any value to the interview.
  • At the close of interview, politely check when you can get the feedback and from whom.
